In Voice mode, you see a flag and say the country's name out loud. iOS asks for Microphone and Speech Recognition permission the first time so Betsy can hear the answer and turn it into text.

Speech is used only to score the current flag. Betsy does not record it, save it, or send it to a server of its own. If you do not want to grant access, Tap and Type modes work without the microphone.

The core quiz is offline. Flags, maps, capitals, and scoring ship inside the app, and your progress stays on your iPhone.

The one optional online feature is the in-app Wikipedia reader. If you tap a country from history, Betsy loads that public Wikipedia page over the internet. You never need it to play.

I do not collect anything through Betsy. There are no accounts, analytics, ads, trackers, or third-party SDKs. Quiz progress and missed-country history are stored locally on your device.

Betsy keeps per-country progress locally. The Stats screen shows your answered count, correct count, accuracy, best streak, and a Needs Practice list.

Turn on Settings > Review my misses to make the countries you miss appear more often.

Open Settings, tap Reset Practice Progress, and confirm. This clears Practice score history and missed-country review data from your device. Daily Challenge history stays. Deleting the app also removes local progress.

Betsy is built for iPhone and requires iOS 18 or later. Voice mode also needs a device with a microphone and Apple's speech recognition support.
